La description

I trained at the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, which integrates Five Elements and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I studied on the 3½ year Acupuncture degree course and was awarded a BSc Honours degree. Since qualifying I have trained in Japanese acupuncture techniques and

keep’s up-to-date with continuing professional development. At present I am

undertaking professional development in Paediatric Acupuncture.

My treatments identify and treat the root cause of a patient’s symptoms or health concerns.  This approach enables the body to truly repair and re-balance.

Treatments given have been effective, lasting results and inspiring treatments. I am a proud member of the UK regulatory body, the British Acupuncture Council.

I am passionate about acupuncture and it would be a privilege to help you to discover whether it can benefit you too. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, NICE, recommends acupuncture on the NHS for back pain, migraines and headaches. The respected Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) recommends acupuncture for chronic pain. Unfortunately not all GP\'s refer patients for acupuncture treatment.

Consultation and treatments

At your first appointment I will take a complete medical history, read your pulses, look at your tongue and possibly examine the site of your symptoms and/or take your blood pressure. Subsequent treatment will involve inserting -use super fine acupuncture needles into appropriate points selected to affect your whole body, as well as your symptoms. There will be time for you to rest while the needles are doing their work.

Acupuncture needles are very thin so that most people barely feel them being inserted. It is normal to feel a mild tingle or as I adjust the needle to direct Qi. Many people feel deeply relaxed during the treatment. Some are so relaxed that they fall asleep.
