The Dental and Implantology Unit at Saint James Hospital(Silema, Malta)

The Dental and Implantology Unit opened its doors in May 1999. Our practice is situated within Saint James Hospital which is ranked amongst the top private healthcare organisations on the Maltese Islands. Two surgeries were put to immediate use by Mark and Susanna Diacono who had come to live in Malta a year earlier. Within one year the number of staff grew to six and now, a total of seventeen people work within the Unit. The Unit is equipped with five state-of-the-art surgeries. Six Specialist dental surgeons work as a team and enable us to offer all aspects of specialised dental treatment other than fixed orthodontics. They are supported by six fully qualified surgery assistants and a team of visiting anaesthetic consultants.

At the Dental and Implantology Unit we have the skill, know-how and extensive experience in implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and the treatment of complex restorative cases that has earned us an outstanding reputation for excellence.

We provide a comprehensive range of services from regular dental examinations and treatment such as fillings, teeth whitening and dental hygiene services to specialist children’s dentistry, dental implant surgery and smile re-design.

Our team are highly experienced at dealing with nervous patients and are happy to have an informal chat with you, away from the dental chair. For longer treatments and anxious or phobic patients we offer sedation. We pride ourselves in the level of care we provide and our ethos of never compromising on quality of materials or time.
