The Lincoln Shoulder Clinic is run by Mr Amit Bidwai


Mr Bidwai is an experienced shoulder and elbow surgeon having completed advanced fellowship training in Shoulder and Elbow surgery in Teeside and the world-renowned Liverpool and Wrightington Upper Limb Units. He was also awarded the prestigious travelling fellowship by the British Orthopaedic Association to obtain additional training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and the Mayo clinic.

Mr Bidwai adopts a holistic and patient-centred approach to care and is experienced in assessing all forms of arm problems and can discuss non-surgical options from physiotherapy to injections and surgery. 

Amit also maintains a strong interest in research. He has published numerous articles in scientific journals. He peer-reviews journal articles for the Bone and Joint Journal and Shoulder and Elbow. He has co-authored the national guidelines for the management of Shoulder Osteoarthritis.

He has responsibilities at national level within the British Shoulder and Elbow Society for the development of rating for Shoulder implants - known as ODEP.
