PRACTICE PROFILE

LOCATION

We are a very friendly and modern practice situated in an ideal location on the High road in Loughton. We are a 5 minute walk from Loughton tube station which is very convenient for commuters using the central line.

We serve the population living in the area and currently look after about 2500 patients.

OUR SERVICES

We offer a wide range of services including, Antenatal clinics, Cervical smears, Contraception services, Child health and immunisations, Minor surgery, Heart disease and stroke prevention, Diabetes, Asthma/ COPD, Smoking cessation clinics, Travel clinic.

As a relatively small practice, we get to know our patients well and are very flexible to their needs. We are able to offer a personal service with continuity of care which is something that is particularly important for patients suffering with chronic illnesses such as heart or lung problems, diabetes, arthritis etc.

We feel it is essential to see patients quickly and at a time convenient for them. A recent patient survey carried out by the Department of Health showed that most of our patients are able to book an appointment within 24-48 hours. We now offer late surgeries in the evenings on tuesday and wednesday for those who have trouble getting to daytime surgeries because of work or other commitments.

OUR TEAM

We have two Doctors working at the practice and a Nurse practitioner. Our extended practice team includes district nurses, health visitors, community psychologists, dietician and visiting midwives.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

We are very proud of achieving Training practice accreditation and we often have one trainee doctors completing their General Practice training. We also train medical students from the Barts and the London Medical School.
