2. FUE or Follicular Unit Extraction.
Both Techniques are done under local anesthesia and light sedatives.
The Conventional strip 

method: The donor hair is harvested by taking out long and narrow strip of hair 

bearing skin and isolate each follicular unit under stereo-microscope. This leaves the linear scar on the back. The benefit of this method is the ability to obtain large number of graft and more economic.

The FUE method is to take the donor follicular unit one by one by small precise punch. This leave small scattered spot scar on the back but can be obscured easily even short hair style.

The FUE is painless,scarless and quicker recovery, however this method can take only limit amount of donor hair [2000-2500 maximum] and more time consuming could take 7-9 hours.
