The majority of treatments, lotions and drugs available for alopecia, stimulate or add nutrients to the hair. This is an important factor, but the scalp is a complex organ and there are many other considerations and reasons why we lose hair.
A unique, natural treatment, based on essential oils, has been developed and clinically proven that is can, in many cases, correct and control the underlying cause of hair loss, prior to stimulation or feeding the hair.
Wherever possible we look to treat your condition in a holistic and preventative manner. We will give you information, options, treatment plans and costs, so that you can decide how you would like to proceed. Often the cause of your condition is directly or indirectly related to your lifestyle.
With Holistic Trichology, your whole health history is taken into consideration when devising a personalised treatment plan for your problem hair or scalp condition. After diagnosis by microscopy – analysing strands of your hair under a powerful microscope – you will follow a personalised scalp detox regime, including at-home and in-salon treatments using products from the professional Parisian range La Biosthetique. The powerful, amino acid- and essential oil-based products are designed to fortify your hair from within; they are not tested on animals.
USING MICROSCOPY TO REVEAL YOUR HAIR STORY
During your initial consultation, ten or so hairs are plucked out for analysis under a powerful microscope; this reveals essential information about the structure of each strand, such as loss of pigment, brittleness in the shaft, and any vitamin and mineral deficiencies, which are a sign of underlying health conditions as hair is one of the body\'s metabolically active tissues, often reflecting internal problems. The live hair roots (bulbs) are also examined to get an indication of the amount of hair loss, i.e. how many roots are dead or dying prematurely, and to ascertain the likelihood of future loss. Examining the roots provides a good indication of probable hair loss causes, or what might be interfering with the normal growth cycle, such as excess sebum, blocked follicles and general ‘toxic build up’. Once this detailed inspection is complete, the correct course of treatment can be prescribed to suit your needs and to restore proper scalp and hair health, all with no side effects.
Treatment is suitable for men, women and children.
