I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. My NHS base is at Salford Royal Hospital and I have admitting rights at The Oaklands Hospital on Lancaster Road in Salford.
My main areas of interest are Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement, Arthroscopic (keyhole) Knee Surgery, Hip Fractures and General trauma.
I am registered as a fee assured consultant with BUPA, AXA, AVIVA and all other major insurance companies.
I treat hip and knee problems in general. I deal with hip and knee
arthritis, soft tissue problems in and around the hip and knee such as
trochanteric bursitis,
piriformis syndrome
,
meniscus cartilage tears and muscle and ligament sprains and tears. I deal with unexplained hip and knee pain where a firm diagnosis has not been made. Examples of conditions such as these are
sacroiliitis
and
plica syndrome.
