The Morley Acupuncture Clinic was opened in November 1987 by John Heptonstall after he spent 12 years in Hong Kong/China where he studied several Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) modalities not least acupuncture & moxibustion. Acupuncture treatments are now carried out by York Acupuncture Graduate Becka McGuire and are based around the traditional acupuncture & moxibustion framework into which additional techniques are applied where necessary such as electro-acupuncture, cupping and dietary therapy. It is also essential that one understands the impact of lifestyle and environment on the development of diseases so these aspects are considered for each individual patient with advice given as appropriate.
