Описание

An expert and experienced team of Podiatrists treat patients for a range of painful conditions at this clinic located at Hinckley in Leicestershire.

We have been caring as a team for patients of all ages with a variety of foot and ankle health problems since 1991.  This experience benefits each and every patient we treat for any reason from simple nail trimming to complicated sports injuries.  The Podiatry team at Medipod Clinics has been involved in the treatment of many of foot conditions alongside physiotherapists, osteopaths, dieticians, diabetes specialists, nurses, podiatric surgeons, general practitioners, and other health care professionals.

Routine Podiatry Care

We treat a range of conditions from general pain, thickened or discoloured toenails, cracks or cuts in the skin, verrucas, scaling or peeling on the soles, corns, and athlete’s foot to heel pain, diabetes monitoring, ingrowing toenails or any other foot-related problem.

Biomechanics and Sports Injury

By taking a closer look at the muscles and joints in your feet and legs and the effects these may have on the way you walk (biomechanical assessment), we can offer advice and treatment to reduce your symptoms and help to prevent future symptoms from arising.  We offer advice on specialist insoles (orthoses), exercises and injury prevention.  We also offer ultrasound, strapping, and lower limb sports massage to alleviate painful symptoms.

We currently treat a wide variety of sports-related problems, such as foot / ankle strains or sprains, plantar fasciitis (pain at the bottom of the heel), Achilles tendinitis, knee pain, shin splints, stress fractures, friction blisters and many more.

Verruca Treatments

We undertake cryotherapy, electrosurgery and some topical chemical therapy for the treatment of verrucae.

Nail Surgery

We undertake nail surgery to permanently get rid of ingrowing toenails.  This procedure is quick, effective and can relieve your pain permanently with usually very little after care required.

Diabetic Footcare

One of the effects of diabetes is that it reduces the circulation and sensitivity in your feet. You may not feel extreme temperatures, pain or touch. As a result, foot problems may occur without you even realising.  It is, therefore, very important to monitor your feet by visiting a HCPC Registered Podiatrist every 6-12 months (or earlier) if you have diabetes.

We also offer a home visiting service and a FREE FOOT HEALTH CHECK if you are unsure whether or not you need our services.

We look forward to seeing you at Medipod Clinics... let our friendly team give your feet the care and attention they deserve.

Remember, your feet must last you a lifetime!
