AcuWell founder, Maria Maher, originally studied acupuncture because it helped relieve the negative side effects she experienced from chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment following surgery to remove a brain tumour. She has a special interest in fertility & pregnancy and has trained with fertility and pregnancy experts Zita West, Jani White, Debra Betts, Dr. Trevor Wing and Sarah Budd. She received a Diploma (with Distinction) in TCM Gynaecology & Obstetrics - Acupuncture from Dr. Trevor Wing. Maria is a founder-member of the Zita West affiliated acupuncturist network, established in Ireland in 2009, and is a founder member of A.C.T. AcuWell also has a clinic in Athlone, Co. Westmeath on Wednesdays.
